5 Guided Bird & Bush Walks
Every Mon, Wed, Thur in the month of March | From 9am - 10am
Discover WA's diverse mallee bushland and its inhabitants at Ongerup’s Yongergnow Centre. The centre for community, culture and conservation is surrounded by a 5ha fully fences flora and fauna sanctuary. Walks are led by experienced biologist and tour guide Vicky Bilney. Concessions apply for concession card holders, groups and families. Entry fee includes access to Yongergnow Australian Malleefowl Centre. Advance bookings essential to avoid disappointment.

11 Keynote: Living in the Next Century
Sat 25th March | Doors open at 6.00pm. Starts at 6.30pm
How do we transition to low carbon, liveable, innovative towns and cities? What is possible?

Our keynote speaker, Jemma Green, Research Fellow and Phd Candidate, has a strong track record in ethical and socially responsible development with a particular interest in sustainable finance. Jemma worked for, and helped establish, J.P. Morgan’s Global Environmental & Social Risk Management Office. In 2013 she established The Green Enterprise, a consultancy dedicated to helping business and government in building the low carbon economy.

Her research focus is on sustainable cities, renewable energy, battery storage systems and modular construction. She is a member of the advisory board of Carbon Tracker; and a founding board member of Future Super, Australia’s first fossil fuel free superannuation fund. Jemma is a regular media commentator on transport, energy and sustainable economics and a forward thinker for sustainable and liveable 21st Century cities and towns.

Local animal carer Elaine Bridson cares for a lot of joeys. The pouches that they live in are made from scrap material from the Tip Shop. Come and be a part of caring for our baby roos by making new homes for them. We have some sewing machines to use but if you can bring your own that would be great. FREE
